42 employees built an AI app in 2 days. As a team.
Problem
Česká spořitelna wanted a team-building event that would leave more than just fond memories. They wanted to give their people — from developers to office workers who had never touched AI — genuine hands-on experience with artificial intelligence. No lectures, no death by PowerPoint. Something everyone would walk away from with new skills and a new way of thinking.
What we did
We designed a two-day AI hackathon for 42 participants as part of their team-building programme. Pairs got a real brief and two tools: Lovable for building an app, Make for a basic automation. No prior AI experience required — developers and colleagues who'd never opened a dev environment sat side by side in the same teams. Minimum theory, maximum doing.
Result
42 people walked away with a working app, a real automation, and — most valuably — a new way of thinking about problems. AI stopped being an abstraction on slides. Participants gained structured thinking, broadened their horizons, and figured out how to apply the tools they'd tried to their own day-to-day work. And they had fun doing it.
